FAMILY PROMISE MEETING AND TRAINING

Our next public meeting to invite everyone to come and learn about Family Promise will be June 14th at 6:00pm at Congregation Bet Ha'am.  

The Family Promise Initiative, to provide homeless families with shelter and support through the interfaith collaboration of local faith communities,   has been launched in Portland.  They  signed incorporation paperwork for the State of Maine today. That's a big step in making Family Promise a reality here in the Greater Portland area. 

In addition to our experts from Massachusetts, some experts from Portland will be sharing with us their stories of being homeless.

Andre Nzeyimana and Aury Sabushimike will both be sharing their stories of living at the Family Shelter and the Teen Shelter when they first arrived in Portland.
