Julie Goell, who was a clown, actor, musician, theater director, artist, author and teacher – passed away last December after a multi year struggle with a neurodegenerative condition.  Julie, a long time Peaks Island resident, was an incredibly creative spirit, who wrote a memoir and teaching guide, even as she lost the ability to move her hands and speak.

Julie’s many beloved friends, family and colleagues will be gathering on Friday June 16th at 7pm, at Temple Etz Chaim in Portland, to celebrate and remember her.  There will be performances of music and puppetry, readings from Julie’s poetry and essays, and many stories of Julie’s life.

The event is free and open to the public with donations accepted to the Multiple Systems Atrophy coalition. https://www.multiplesystematrophy.org

Anyone who knew Julie and experienced her great spirit is encouraged to attend.
