Except in the case of inclement weather, services will not be held at Bet Ha'am on Friday, August 11.

Once again, Bet Ha'am is taking the show on the road! Join us from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 11, for a casual Family Shabbat service and picnic at the gazebo at the bandstand at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. After our picnic dinner, the sights and sounds of summer will enhance our worship. All are welcome!

The service and picnic will be held at the Bandstand at Fort Williams Park (a covered gazebo near the amphitheater and ball field). Picnic tables are provided under and around the gazebo structure. There is ample parking at Fort Williams. The nearest parking lot to our event will be on the right after you drive up the hill through the main park entrance on Shore Road. Blue and white ribbons will mark the paved walking path leading you to our gazebo. Stay to the right at the fork in the walking path as you walk toward the tennis courts. We will be on your left. A map to our site can be found on our website, www.bethaam.org.

Please note: In the case of inclement weather, the Family Shabbat service and picnic will be held inside at Bet Ha'am beginning at 5:00 PM. We will make a final determination at 2:00 PM on Friday. If we need to move the event due to rain, we will leave a message on the Bet Ha'am answering machine. We will also note the change on the Google calendar located on the Bet Ha'am website.

Please consider bringing a potluck dish to share so that we can all enjoy a friendly meal together. If your last name starts with:
A-L, please bring a side dish.
M-R, please bring a dessert.
S-Z, please bring an entree.

If you are looking a worship alternative on Friday evening, August 11, please consider joining Temple Beth El, 400 Deering Avenue, in Portland for Kabbalat Shabbat at 5:30 PM.
