Jerusalem 50 Years of Reunification Celebration

To commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. and Israeli Consulates are coordinating 50 events, plus events in Washington and Jerusalem. These events will take place simultaneously in 50 states and in both capitals to create a symbolic and powerful moment of unity and connectedness between the two countries and their people.

The event in Washington, D.C. will be the pinnacle of Jerusalem Day celebrations in the United States and will tie together the other simultaneous events. The event will feature remarks by Ambassador Ron Dermer and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, in addition to video-streamed remarks by Speaker of the Knesset Yuli Edelstein.

Community members are invited to join community leadership at Congregation Bet Ha'am to come together and view the live stream and to take part in the ceremony. There will be an interactive aspect of the event as well, yet to be determined.
