Shabbat Service Featuring a Jewish Perspective on Question 3 and Closing the Background Check Loophole in Maine Law

Join Congregation Bet Ha'am for Shabbat worship on Friday night, October 28 at 7:30 PM when we will learn about the Jewish perspective on gun violence and communal responsibility.

Deena Metzler, who grew up at Bet Ha'am, and Bobby Reynolds, former member, will speak about Question 3 on behalf of Mainers for Responsible Gun Ownership, a coalition of community organizations, survivors of gun violence, law enforcement, faith leaders, domestic violence prevention advocates, sportsmen, law enforcement officials and other concerned Mainers working to close the background check loophole in Maine law. Rabbi Saks will round out the discussion with a Jewish perspective on gun violence.
